Undergraduate Student

Helen is from Toronto, Ontario, and is currently in her third year of pursuing a BSc in Honours Physiology at McGill University. Her interest in the intersection of neuroscience and genetics, and their relation to intellectual and developmental disabilities, led her to join the Bowie lab. By investigating the role of AMPA receptors in intellectual disability, Helen hopes to advance our understanding of these disorders and contribute to the development of more effective therapeutic approaches. Outside the lab, Helen enjoys cooking, exploring new places around Montreal, and travelling.
